Dykisha Potter
Dykisha Potter proudly serves as the Co-Founder and Executive Director of the ampED National Fellowship.
As a Site Coordinator with Communities in Schools of Jacksonville, she facilitates learning activities and interventions to keep students in school and on track for graduation and prepare them to take advantage of post-secondary education and career opportunities. She currently leads the Bridge to Employment partnership with Johnson & Johnson at Englewood High School (the initiative’s first Florida site), a unique 3-year mentorship program which strives to increase the number of students who pursue higher education and STEM2D careers. Previously a middle school mathematics teacher in Title I schools, Dykisha is incredibly passionate about improving outcomes and creating sustainably equitable opportunities for underserved youth.
Dykisha is very active in her community serving as the Youth Engagement Chair for the Jacksonville Urban League Young Professionals, the VP of Community for the Junior League of Jacksonville, and a member of the Global Shapers Jacksonville Hub. She is also an alum of the New Politics Leadership Academy and City Year Jacksonville, where she served as a member of the Alumni Board from 2018-2021.
Dykisha is a 2021 MPP Minority Fellow at Jacksonville University. She holds a BSBA in Economics (2015) from the University of Miami as well as an MA in Teaching (2018) from the University of North Florida. In her spare time she loves dancing (especially ballroom), reading, and traveling.
